Modern Educational Methods

The objective of this project is to conduct a series of Training Activities, where the involved institutes will be able to share the educational methods/tools they use with one another, and be able to locate the differences and benefits of integrating each methodology/tool in their own processes. The partners will task adult trainers related to their institutions to attend the LTTAs, and understand/discuss the processes suggested by the host partner organizations.

C1. Critical Thinking – Decision Making in Education

Critical Thinking is an essential process with which adults can evaluate the information they receive. Via using the ability to collect, analyze and think about data, personal life is enriched and more so when these same skills are applied to problems in everyday life involving judgment and choice. This course presents basic concepts from statistics, probability, scientific methodology, cognitive psychology and cost-benefit theory and shows how they can be applied to everything from picking one product over another to critiquing media accounts of scientific research.

C2. Augmented Reality as a Tool in Education

The goal of this course is to offer educators necessary skills to create and use Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) examples in the learning process. The course will provide Adult Trainers with both theoretical and practical knowledge in order to be able to create and use AR and VR examples in order to motivate and encourage their learners. After the end of this course, they will have a better understanding of the concept and potential benefits of AR and VR use and they will have improved the skills and competences that are required to convey knowledge to their learners in a more attractive way.

C3. Game-Based Learning in Education

The goal of this activity is to introduce teachers to concepts and tools that focus on the pedagogical use of games which can significantly enhance good quality and effectiveness of education. They will receive training on how to use open educational resources, gain new skills, learn how to implement GBL strategies into their lessons and create a sample lesson. They will also exchange ideas and develop links with teachers from other European countries. After the end of this course, they will have a better understanding of the concept and potential benefits of Game Based Learning method and they will have improved the skills and competences that are required to apply that method in their classroom.
